Eyetek's badge camera recorder takes a symbol of optimism and transforms it into a way to spy on others around you.

The "Smiley Face Pin Badge" has a hidden, internal recorder which is able to record both video and audio footage. Equipped with a micro USB port, the badge's data can either be transferred via a USB port or by removing the Micro SD card from the product. Powered by a lithium-ion battery, the pin badge recorder is able to record at a rate of 30 frames per second.

Each badge is priced at £65 ($104).

  • Teddy Gets Creepy

Its funny, but the idea of Teddy is fine, until you put a camera in him. Suddenly he comes to life and creeps me out, just a little bit. I think a remote control car with mini camera would be more congruous.

    • it is a good idea

Teddy Bear cameras have already helped to catch bad people, like this example:

  • Eyetek's two-way adapter

Hmm... I'd like to buy that. Oh, wait! Is this ZDNet UK? Whoops. Wrong website. Wait a minute... I did type www.zdnet.com, did I? Yes, I did in the first place! And I'm in the US Edition!

    Bummer.

  • Smartphone interceptor.

putting this on anyone but your own(personal not shared) and your kids phones, without there knowledge is or should be illegal. putting it on an employees phone is definitely a breach of privacy.

  • This is a lawyer's dream come true...

    " A smartphone interceptor

Eyetek's smartphone interceptor is a relatively new set of spying software to keep an eye on smartphone activity.

The manufacturers say that "the SmartPhone Intercept is great for keeping tabs your spouse if you suspect they may be having an affair, employees, children, and anyone else you wish to.""

Yep, what lawyer isn't going to love the invasion of privacy cases that this "Smartphone interceptor" will create, lots of laughs.
