Stable Linux on Windows, whatever next?

Summary: A new Linux distribution that sits on top of Windows and is, allegedly, as stable as the real thing, has been launched under the curious title Armed Linux.

The final beta version of Armed Linux 1.1 should be available from the company's Web site, where the front page makes the slightly melodramatic statement: "A stable, optimised Linux operating system that installs under Microsoft Windows 95 or 98? They said it couldn't be done... now here it is."

Unfortunately it is only possible to read this in awe as the rest of the Web site appears to have been overloaded by Linux-crazed surfers.
