Sydney Water said it is currently in the process of recruiting a new CIO.

APN News & Media spokespeople were unavailable for comment at the time of writing.

Catley's departure from Sydney Water comes as the company was recently accused of doctoring a report by NSW auditor-general Peter Achterstraat, which was critical of the organisation's implementation of a Siebel customer relationship management system. The project was said to be running $34 million over budget.
