T-Mobile has thwarted my HTC Desire

Grrr.

T-Mobile UK has done three things to me today. First, it has tweeted away like crazy that hey, hey, hey, it'll be carrying the iPhone 4! Second, it missed the delivery deadline it had previously texted me for my very-own-paid-for-it-myself-no-blag HTC Desire, which I've been hanging on for like a bassett hound knowing that at the end of a meal comes tasty scraps. Third, the only way I could find to check on where my phone was, after exploring the 150 customer support line and the website, was via T-Mob's 0800 sales line. Which is charged for on my contract.

"Oh, ah, yes" said my penny-every-three-seconds correspondent. "We've had some problems with the Desire, and one of the Blackberries. It hasn't actually been despatched. Should be in the next three to four working days. We were going to text you this afternoon to let you know."

You can see the very moment when I heard this thanks to crack reporter David Meyer and his new camera. Which WAS delivered on time.

So. T-Mobile. Don't wreck a beautiful friendship. Tell me the truth. Don't charge me to beat it out of you. And don't crow about signing up to the Apple cart when you're not keeping up with the stuff you've got already.

But mostly, just send me my phone.
