I agree with your overall stance - let's wait and see what happens before panicking. But we have done some research on our blog and we found that the average incident of (not provided is 2.82%) but we have seen some scary data for a few sites - one had 325 of 1373 visits impacted ??? 23.67% of visits affected!
I recognise this is a small sample size - but I'd be interested in seeing anyone else's research too.
