This observation essentially confirms Microsoft's assertion all along: The cloud is not about JUST online services or JUST local apps - it's about both. You need local apps for the times when you cannot reach the internet, but cloud allows you to use services that used to be reserved only for the wealthiest and most technologically advanced corporations.
