I love the whole anti Facebook theme here in the talkbacks... "Ban all social media" is the rallying cry.
That's the voice of folks who've been around for a while and simply know better. There might possibly be something to this warning cry to boot. Beyond that, who exactly is calling for the "banning" of SM, as opposed to merely avoiding it like the plague it is. That's quite a characterization overreach.
So tell us, what exactly are you getting out of these social media dens that we the decriers are missing out on? Last time I looked, ZDNet was a IT news-based site, not a magnet for social interaction. You actually need to read the tech related articles presented before engaging. Can you say the same for places like Facebook or MySpace? Inquiring minds would love to know.
