Dubious argument at best. Nothing in the real world suggests that much of what is written in this article is true. For heaven's sake, and especially in this day and age, we should give marks and pass judgement based on what a company does concretely with real products and real APIs. We don't need conjectures based on marketing, vendor proclamations or vacuous discussions. The day when SAP does APIs like Google, SDKs like Microsoft and Apple and documentation like Oracle we will talk.
