RIM can't win
MobileAdmin 6th Jan
Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Haven't we read the past year pissing on RIM for making too many devices, not having a solid touchscreen etc?

The market wants a large touchscreen with a slick UI.

RIM will have other devices developed but the focus is providing what the current market demands. It makes sense. Your point on people you know with Blackberry are not the point. RIM is looking to appeal to those that DO NOT want a keypad based device. It's not like OS 7 devices will cease to be sold once the BB 10 device launches. Considering how QNX functions on Playbook I'm unsure on anything less then a 4" screen it would have good usability.

Please show one tablet for $299 (64gb) that provides all Playbook has, the tech blogs are in a frenzy to kill RIM as OS 2.0 is close, all their whining will be negated and their platform of choice will have competition (at a lower price). It seems HTC learned Android is not the answer.

If the public likes what RIM provides the other players will all say "Oh ****!"
