I work in the in this field (tel-co/network installation) and as much as i would love to see my job getting easier (no cables to run would be great!). I don't see this changing our industry what so ever. The bottom line is wired networks are safer. That is whats really important to these companies. If you need speed, you just use a fiber connection. but most of the time CAT6 is more then enough speed to move someones excel spreadsheets around a network

. people are always saying that the future will bring less and less wiring and things are going to be simpler. I'm sorry to say it hasn't happened yet, in fact its getting worse.
