"Guns don't kill people - people kill people."
And it has a similar flaw: "People kill people with guns."
Yes, it's YOUR choice to use Siri, but Apple has been promoting this feature as the hot thing to use - and it hasn't been very clear (or has offered a way to see or monitor) the cost of using it.
"Stealing bandwidth"? If it doesn't use any while not in active use - then no, this is a falsehood. But not being frugal in its consumption of your available bandwidth (which the customer does pay for) or warning when a query will generate a lot of traffic, then it's an issue.
And before someone says it - yes, this applies exactly the same way to Google Voice Commands.
