If I have to Wikipedia it, is it really useful to describe something using 'tendy' language that no one else who uses plain English will understand?
The word 'mash-up' as it is intended to be spelled, apparently has its origins in Pop Music. I conclude therefore, that it is a slang noun that hasn't actually made it to a regular dictionary yet.
Fortunately for me, Wikipedia had a reference to it.
Is there a point to using language no one readily recognizes?
