These are, I think, the main reasons why software is insecure. There is too much thought put on extra features without going through a security audit. There is very little attention paid to the number of lines of code, and there is an amazing lack of knowledge among the users. For computers,instant gratification rules, and, with parallels to real life, these have their inevitable side effects.
