Is is just me or has no one else noticed the following:
1) Yahoo mail has been kluging up for months now. It just gets worse.
2) Yahoo MyYahoo home pages consistently freeze, displaying the message "Yahoo is experiencing technical difficulty"
3) Yahoo Games servers are crashing to the point of being unplayable.
4) Incredibly, Yahoo Merchant Solutions, has also become a less than dependable commerce solution.
Yahoo is clearly in big trouble on the tech. Their financial woes have led to slow, steady erosion of their ability to provide the services they were once legendary for their dependability. I wonder why this angle never comes up in the press coverage. At this rate, within 6 months Yahoo will really start to break apart at the seams from a technical point of view. Any suitor, including MicroSoft, should take a break from visions of monetizing all those eyeballs. The eyeballs will disappear in a heartbeat once the tech deliverables fall to the tipping point, which may be just around the corner.
