Open Source has seen a surge already

There's already been plenty of articles released about
the up-tick in Linux server rollouts and OpenOffice
deployments to desktop environments. You're right,
with this economy, this is the way to go, until the
higher priced licensed products start to provide a
business value/advantage over the competition. Right
now, the advantage any business has is keeping its
doors open by cost-cutting.
