Did everyone forget that doom 3's story line was written by an acclaimed horror novelist? That was one of their big points back when it was released in 2004. So, yeah, this is nothing new, however I'm sure the next doom title will live up to ID's affinity for producing top notch AAA titles, and will undoubtedly be their best game to date!
