Very few products get immediate adoption, and even if they do, it still takes time to get a complete product to market.

As it stands the overhead for releasing an android powered phone is still substantially higher than other mobile oses simply due to lack of first and third party tools and libraries. You still do most of the work yourself, there's very little to assist in reducing time to market.
