More "open standards" with Microsoft on the team, I can't wait. Has anybody here learned anything from 20 years of the same song and dance? Just forget them on the backend already and let's figure out how to get em off the desktop while we're at it.

Do the math people... Citrix + Microsoft really really really want cloud computing to take off because then they can get a bigger piece of the pie (look at their pricing model). It's the least processor efficient way of getting an app out to a customer, and they're making BANK every step of the way on the march to a cloud computing world. More licenses per CPU as CPUs get more powerful. Oh, and then MS will figure out how to gain market advantage by tweaking/breaking the once "open standard". Ever seen this before?
