Interesting that I just wrote a piece attempting to call our U.S. citizens into action for net neutrality and against the corporate stronghold: http://www.kyle-brady.com/2009/05/07/us-broadband-a-call-to-arms/

This EU is a significant piece of legislation, but embarrassing that the U.S. didn't approach it first.
