Good review, if a little jaded

Rafe - thank you for that cynical, I mean open-minded, quickie opinion piece about some of the DEMO products being pitched this week.

Like you, I have been to many, MANY of these deals, including Demo, over the years (tho' not this year) and it is certainly hard to avoid a skeptical posture as you hear/read each pitch.

Granted, we all know few of these companies that you mentioned will make it very far. And, we also know that others - including those that you didn't mention (a shout out to our other Austin friends, Piryx, the payment engine for social web) - may be the ones that actually make it.

History tends to show that few tech forecasters bat much better than Pudge (glad he made it back to the Rangers!), even in his good years.

Definitely looking forward to your Demo "wrap-up" comments. I cringe at, I mean look forward to, who you think the long-term "winners" will be! Cheers...
