The decline in the signal to noise ratio for data on the internet is a power law also. The distribution of the signal to noise ratio of web contributors conforms to the pareto principle in that only 20 percent of contributors have a signal to noise ratio that makes them worthy of reading.
"monei's law" states that the value of the network is constrained by declining signal to noise ratio.
