I got the iphone a few weeks ago; I came to know coma
mode within a few hours of owning the phone. In
experimenting, I noticed that it would reliably go
into coma mode within one minute of pressing the sleep
button.
After the most recent update, I am sad to say that it
is still plagued by this, but now it is more sporadic
(does not happen one the minute).
I disabled auto-lock, but i feel the battery would
last somewhat longer and I would make fewer pocket
calls if I could lock the damn thing without fear of
not being able to turn it back on.
The weird thing is, if my ipod if playing I can lock
it. If I have AlarmLite running I can lock it. With
Safari, it goes comatose.
Bringing it back to the store this weekend (which
unfortunately was being renovated last week)...
