Bingo.
Facebook's users generate revenue for the company, and the more users they have--and the more they know about them--the more revenue they bring in. It would thus be foolish of Facebook to take a you-get-what-you-pay-for stance with users.
Anyhow, Facebook has been having technical problems for months now. It periodically generates Ajax errors, prevents you from scrolling all the way to the bottom of the screen, and doesn't remember login info--just to name a few things. I access Facebook from three different computers, so I know the issue isn't specific to a machine. Not to mention the fact that countless numbers of my friends have reported having the exact same problems.
I'm not sure what's going on, but user frustration level is increasing.
