Windows Azure is a very impressive service

I had the opportunity to talk with Ray at the PDC this week and I believe that he has reason to be optimistic. The PDC was mainly focused on Windows Azure services and the full breadth of this vision is very impressive. They can provide blob, table, and sql data by the sip, by the drink, or by the swimming pool with the flick of a switch. The construction of paired data centers to host this service is a massive infrastructural investment. All in all my impression is that Microsoft is very serious about this initiative.
