While I think this is a harbinger of things to come, and salesforce.com seems to be the closest thing to a real platform to support this kind of functionality, I don't know a single salesperson who wants to spend more than 3 minutes a week on salesforce.com.

Since many organizations broaden the user base to include marketers, customer service, and other functions there is sure to be adoption among those user communities. But I don't see it being broadly adopted among the sales community.

The connectors to the public social apps are going to be the best road to increasing adoption with salespeople. They are a unique user population!
