This seems like it will be a very inexpensive wifi device. I'm sure Google knows something that I don't but this doesn't look like a big leap forward... in fact it looks to me like a big regression in technology. But I suppose the same thing could have been said of the Nintendo Wii before it was released.
Time will tell.
