Nice post. I think the battle is a testament to the staying power and usefulness of email in the enterprise. Even though email is the technology we all love to hate - it is indispensible to most of us (knowledge workers) and I don't think it will go away anytime soon. It is time, however, for email to evolve and provide better support of the human process use csase which are a mainstay of enterprise collaboration. I think Google Wave is one view on what form the evolution could take, Here at ActionBase we believe we have a better, Microsoft oriented solution (www.actionbase.com)
