RE: Tech predictions for 2010
daven78@... 5th Jan 2010
I don't think that people are going to jump on the android like Sam thinks. Talking to a friend that travels a lot and interacts with many of the top corporate entities, he said "Practically everyone that is in upper management has an iphone" It's like a status simbol. He of course has one now and can't say enough about it. Once you go iphone, you won't go iclone!
Think about the ipod and how far ahead of the game they were before others tried to copy it and get in on the business. I can't think of any other brand that has come close to rival any of the Apple ipods. I believe this is what we will see with the iClones that are starting to come out, no one is being inovative. They are just repackaging what Apple has been doing for how many years now? Be honest when you read this and think about it, history can shed a lot of light on future trends.
Also, Windows 7 isn't anyones savior either. Again look at the history and you will see a trend. Jobs said it plane and simple, he doesn't like Microsoft because they write inferior software, or maybe he said junky... I don't remember exactly. But, weather he said it or someone else, I would agree, looking back at all of the crappy OS's and all the bugs. I don't wish them to fail, and I hope I am wrong about the trend, as I have been using XP also because I don't want to have problems with bugs. I have learned to not be on the bleading edge of technology and wait until the products simmer down and work. Anyway, enough about this, I look forward to an inovative 2010 and many good products. Happy New Year!
