I have a feeling that if Bill Gates himself came to your house, raped your dog, murdered your parents, stole your car, ate your wife and told you Windows was a sick joke, you would still blame everyone else for what happened.
The archangel Microsoft must be held accountable for every error it causes indirectly or otherwise. People and businesses have invested in Microsoft products and Microsoft should ensure that they either roll out a product without the thousands of security flaws first time, or make sure that the patch doesn't cause any more problems for anyone.
By blaming 3rd party drivers or hardware it is like taking your car back to the manufacturer to have it's broken engine repaired and when it returns your after market windscreen, tyres, breaks, exhaust, wipers and battery have just stopped working!
It doesn't matter how many people it has affected, all that matters is it has affected someone.
