The USA was founded by sedition and insurrection. Protesting the war on terror and expressing my discontent for it is a seditious act. Even the Tea Party is sedition. In a country where free speech abounds, laws against sedition have no teeth.
Now giving out intelligence about current military operations in a war, that would fall under espionage and treason.
