It's really an improvement. Yes, even over XP. The
multitasking is noticeably improved, and you can
see it in applications what use a lot of threads.
Outlook is one of those applications, and is very
noticeably faster with Windows 7 installed.

Whether the original OS was XP or Vista, pretty
much every system I've installed Win7 on has seen
an improvement.
