Leica has become a kind of lens manufacturer really along with
the specialty equipment such as microscopes and binoculars
and whatnot. When I was a kid I hankered after a rangefinder
model but of course it was astronomically priced. It still is but I
no longer have any interest in a retro engineered camera. I
want one that I can actually use and that delivers exemplary
high res images. This model is a tourist thing at a high price.
For not much more the average person could get a fine
Canon/Nikon/Pentax/Sony Dslr and for the price of a Leica M
series..The WORLD...They ought to just throw in the towel and
make fine optics for the above cameras but with Auto
Focus..oh, right they have not discovered yet how to do that at
Leitz...all's the pity...
