Don't know how long but I think I've been seeing it for a month or two. Google "cheap dental tape" without the quotes. Finish that search. Google "cheap batteries". Get several ads for "dental" and "dentist" in both left and right columns. Go advanced search and exclude dental and dentist. Still get ads in left column, second row for "dental" and third row for "tape" and in right column for "dental plans", "cheap dentist", and "free health care".
I've got the screen captures.
They're messing with us. Did they get bought by Facebook ?
One of the joys of Google was they didn't try to second guess and ALL RESULTS WERE PLAUSIBLY RELEVANT TO THE SEARCH.
Ever since I heard Eric Schmidt whom I find much too corporate on Charlie Rose I've expected cheap marketing tricks like this were in the offing. This is worse that I expected because they aren't just adding ads, they're breaking trust.
Arrrrrrgggghh
