Everybody assumes that everybody is using Windows. Personally, I don't. I use Linux and I can happily use the full Adobe Reader program without much concern for security holes. However, with Linux there's also Evince (the default reader). No popups, no registration, no activation, no hassles. If you're using Windows, good luck.
