Compared to VDI designs that require expensive blade servers and complicated switching environments in the data center, NxTop is simple to deploy, simple to manage and easy on the finances. When you examine NxTop you realize that it is an excellent way to manage laptops and PCs and the apps than run on them. Virtual Computer delivers and builds upon a Xen-based Type 1 (bare metal) client hypervisor that works with a minimum investment in the data center. Both Citrix (also an investor in Virtual Computer) and VMware are working on delivering a client hypervisor, but they are way behind what you can do easily today with NxTop. Citrix won't release its XenClient until near the end of 2010. Virtual Computer makes VDI an easy to use and affordable technology.
