Interesting mix of sarcasm and seriousness in your post (the sarcasm being the 'welfare' bit; though large corporations getting subsidy and tax cuts workers' taxes have to make up for and the rest say far more about the abuse of welfare system than somebody who lost their job...).
It's hard to maintain a functioning, ethical symbiosis when it's replaced with parasitism.
