Hopefully that number isn't surprising to these corporations. You can't expect people to be passionate and loyal about what they do when there isn't any passion or loyalty about their well being by their employers. Too many businesses are driven by bean counters trying so hard to please the street that they lose focus on their most valuable resources.
It is a select group that can excel when they are in a constant state of flux worrying if they are going to lose their job during the holidays because management says they have too many people or worse yet, their position has been outsourced. Even a more bitter pill to swallow when top management and boards are drawing huge bonuses regardless of the performance of the company they are leading.
