I think you missed my main point, which, to be fair, came out more strongly in the discussion in the comments. As a management question, companies have to understand exactly what benefit they get for the investment of time and resources. You say that "BYOC also makes a lot of workers happier." It's an easy statement to make, but a difficult one to quantify, let alone prove. Is there increased productivity or even employee loyalty that a BYOC program delivers? These are important questions, and to try and wave them away with vague and unsupported claims and the answer that it's technically possible is to abrogate managerial responsibility. Addressing how should come after the issue of why.
