If you have to say it again, after all of these years of pushing it . . .
. . . maybe, just maybe, people don't think it's such a great technology after all.
. . . maybe, just maybe, the benefits, as much as they appeal to you, don't appeal to everybody.
"Are the business agility benefits paramount?"
An excellent question. Okay, some businesses strive on speed/agility - but a lot of businesses may have it low on the list, with other things, such as quality and customer service, being high on the list.
A small shop or business relies heavily on location and customer satisfaction, and may be completely unconcerned with agility/speed.
IMO sometimes the small companies are often disproportionately ignored in favor of large, "enterprise" corporations.
And, frankly, using the word "struggling" to describe business that aren't hip with the new "cloud" stuff is a very tired argument.
Sorry, no. Just because you're not using service/cloud oriented stuff on your computers doesn't mean you sell less widgets, or that your products are of lesser quality.
Truth be known - not all businesses are 90% IT. Most businesses may use computers, but that doesn't mean most of them rise and fall with computing technology.
If I'm eating at a pizzeria, my pizza tastes the same regardless of whether the accounting office is using regular apps or cloud apps. Sorry, I think it's a bit too self absorbed to pretend that this is the rise and fall of most businesses.
