Control of media in times of war?
Disinterested3rdParty 21st Jun 2010
Typically, one of the first objectives during wartime is to gain control of the media. It allows forces to disseminate the information they want and prevent that which they don't want. They can control who receives information and who doesn't, the quality of said information and the cost. Considering that the FCC represents the government, when was the last time the government effectively managed anything?

So, the FCC is now moving to gain control of a world-wide media. To permit them to reclassify the Internet as a telecommunication service from an information service is to hand them the keys to the Internet.

The government is moving to centralize everything, which will give them even more control over us. I, too, am not big on regulations, and this is simply another example of how We The People are going to be further subjected to government controls and regulations.
