While I'm not totally sold on the voice recognition bits ("Xbox: Pause", "Xbox: Play"), the ability to use my hand as a mouse and control the cursor is fantastic. There have been too many times when I needed to pause/play/rewind, and the mouse+mousepad have been on the floor, or under the couch, or on the coffee table, or next to the lamp - just a bunch of places to check.
Laziness of convenience? I side with the latter.
