@hiraghm@... Ok... found some info on it. Really, LITERALLY. Comparing the Mandala to the Kinect is like comparing a 486 to a Core i7. It kinda does the same thing, but the level of intricacy and achievable functionality is completely different. The Mandala was little more than a motion tracker. It didn't track in 3d. It was only video, it did not have voice recognition. Nothing I could find on it (which was very little) mentioned ANYthing about gesture recognition. So really the only similarity is that it was an interface device that incorporated video. It seems more analogous to the PS2 eye.
