I like the cloud services. I think the technology is going to revolutionize the entire world. But it needs to be consumer friendly.
I am glad that companies are expressing worries about data security and data location. These issues have been important from day one but it just seemed cloud service companies were ignoring them. Hopefully consumers will see something that allows them to move to the cloud with the same guarantees of privacy and compliance that they get from their in house solutions. I really hope this spills over into small individual consumers as well as large corporate consumers. It would be nice to store most of my personal data in the cloud and be assured it is treated with the same privacy I would have if I stored it locally in my house.
