@shellcodes_coder i dont see whats so wrong about the registry. in the windows 9x and xp days, yes the registry was a problem as they didnt implement any mechanism to protect or keep its integrity. however, Vista and Win7 are totally different beasts. Win7 has shown itself to be rock solid. its my OS of choice and the only one i put my word behind.
the registry has its disadvantages and its benefits. and at this point its benefits are greater
