@mikefarinha ... I totally agree! I'm already knee deep in my Windows 7 rollouts and am having huge success. I manage the systems for my company's three business entities. Administrative users for all businesses are on Windows 7, and one of the businesses is on Windows 7 entirely at this point.
My support needs for those users has dropped dramatically, because the OS is very dependable on its own and simpler to use, but also because I really took the time to build a rock-solid image and deployment plan during the beta cycle.
I verified app compatibility before-hand, and have clean-slated my images to be just the required basics and no OEM crapware.
As for the users opinions, most of them have said it was like my Office 2007 rollout a few years ago... different, and took some getting used to it, but it's "better" and my laptop users are thanking me for the better offline files performance and simpler VPN access.
