Did 'WE' also not have sex with that woman? Or are we only "quite" sure that "we" didn't have sex with that woman?

Right... indisputable..... so Mark couldn't simply by lying, very BADLY or anything...

So cutting through all that nonsense, he DID sign it, he THINKS the statute of limitations means the contract isn't valid, AND he claims the idea followed later than claimed? Because all the fuzzy wording and get out clauses suggest exactly that.
