You are having a laugh, right?
EA is hamstrung by it?s practitioners never ending ability to think long-term and deliver next to nothing. Execution is more important than strategy. A bad strategy, executed, is more likely to be effective for an organization than a great strategy with no delivery.
Businesses aren?t impatient, they are a balancing act of making money to return to the shareholders today, and ensuring they are relevant tomorrow. Measures are both short and long-term.
EA and its practitioners need to understand this fundamental pillar of running a business. Only then can they take business requirements in context and deliver a practical, workable EA.
What could be great is an EA that balances the needs of today, with those of the future. And makes it easy to deliver them!
