No dropped calls in Malta.

Just for the record. I am holding a mate's iphone4 in my hand, gripping it hard, especially over the antenna. I turn it this way, and that, and cup it with both hands. And you know what, the signal stays strong at 5 bars. (GSM1800, on the Vodafone network).

(He is looking at me in a puzzle, thinking I have gone nuts.. he bought it on the screen looks alone!)

And to put matters in perspective, my 1st gen iphone is still going strong (jailbroken of course) ... and no dropped calls EVER, thank you very much.

And I am not an ardent Apple fan... closed systems bug me! I just think that euro for euro, the iphone is the best I could buy. I also have a chinese-built Android 7inch slate (EKEN M001) that I think is great for hacking and modding... so I am quite open minded.

I think that the area receiving the signal is vitally important for performance.
