The players did not provide any input to the game. Even if the player details correspond with actual players, this is irrelevant because the information is in the public domain and no attempt was made to use the players name to sell the game.
The lawsuit is therefore frivolous and opportunistic. A bunch of hasbeens (historic teams) fabricating a case to enrich themselves using somebody else's labour and skills.
Why should they get paid for work they haven't done ?
