What will it mean for users like Samsung or Apple? Sure they power via USB, which will be, for sure, the major power provider. But will this mean the handset manufacturers all need to have a mini-usb socket?
Otherwise what is the point of never needing a charger if you still have to take a dedicated cable with you?
The Apple dock is non-standard, and while I do not need an extra charger, I will still require the cable.
But it was about time anyway. Chargers are a waste of money. Who hasn't got a USB available somewhere?
